21" FF and 18" RR rims on a 2001 Triumph Tiger 955i?
All
I am very interested in converting my stock wire-spoked 19" and 17" wheels on my 2001 Triumph Tiger 955i, to 21" front and 18" rear, in order to run my favorite ADV tire - the Michelin Desert tires. Other than cost, and of course, a reduction in selection of tires for a big, heavy ADV bike to the "unpopular" sizes, does anyone here have any actual experience with a change like this? I am primarily concerned about tire/wheel clearance, especially at the rear. I will be changing the low front fender for a regular dirt bike high fender, but I am somewhat concerned about clearance at the back. Thanks, OB

Received some replies (estimates) from Buchanans, Woodies and others. Crazy expensive mod! Cheapest is about $900 and most expensive about $2K (for just the rims, spokes and labor...not including the tires)
I guess I'll be sticking to TKC80s in the stock sizes. The Tiger is only good for dirt roads, not real offroad, IMO.

Was that using your hubs?
Or complete wheel sets?
