Honda could make a 350cc dual sport.. For more power on the highway than a 250cc. Still light and small.

honda will more than likely release an updated 650 dual-sport and hopefully a 450 but i would not hold your breath on that size. unlike ktm, the japanese are not trying to make a bike for all the sizes. they will stick with 250, 650 and one of them (suzuki?) might delve into the 450 street legal size. after that expect them to compete in the mid-displacement multi-cyl adv bike and the 1200+ size.

Yes! And make the oil capacity larger, and add a small spin on oil filter...

I never quite understood brand loyalty. It's slightly worse than professional sports loyalty. Wait, it is worse.

Yeah every time I look at this thread I think "Does it really matter who makes it?"
Besides dealer network, I don't see why you wouldn't go to another brand to get what you want.

What Dual Sport should Honda build next? CB500X?
With the intro of the 7 new models to include the CB500X 'adventure' bike we are still waiting, Honda...
Waiting to see if anything develops for a retail 450X Dakar or similar. Hondas are great, tough to find too many threads about Hondas that fail. Honda engineering is superior in regard to mechanical attributes and also geometry. Honda chooses certain levels of performance for the masses, not for a niche. ![]() (note- above related to the topic and Honda motorcycles). In the meantime I added another brand of fine Japanese moto to my quiver, but will keep my excellent Honda! ADVNCW screwed with this post 11-30-2012 at 01:45 PM |

Hey ADVNCW, I see you opted to revise your post ablove to exclude the trolling material. Good choice and a far better choice than sending me the rather classless PM you just did.
If it comes down to it, I will either post that PM out in the open (not really my style) or ask a moderator to evaluate the situation with a suggestion you take a ride in the penalty box. Your choice ,
