The Conti TKC 80 comes in at a least a 130/90 17 rear.

Googled and discovered that MT21 also come in 17". More that type of tyre I want, the other ones you guys mention is more dual sport I think?

I've got the MT 21 on my Husky 250

About 10 hours of hammering rocks, sand etc and I really like them. Good enough on the pavement but really a 90/10 tire.
I will replace them with the same..

I searched google and google images for "1981 Husqvarna 520 AE" and get nothing but signature lines, most of them the OP.

What is a 1981 Husqvarna 520 AE?

Shinko, too. I have 705s on my DR650 and the 700 should come in 17" as well. Additionally, I have a set of Trail Wings (TW-41, TW-42). I'm also a fan of the Pirelli MT-21 (as previously mentioned).

The AE is for Automatic transmission. Not variomatic type, it's got 4 gears but centrifugal things engage, some free wheels etc. Originally ordered by Swedish army I think but Husqvarna also made civilain version. Had a 1978 Yamaha TT500 but killed my arms with heavy clutch so sold it. gave up the whole classic cross thing till buddy told me about Husqvarana having an automatic in the seventies and by luck a guy advertised one in sweden. Think it's pretty rare so took the chance and bought it. Only had one trip but didn't quite like it vfrees out every time you go off the throttle (like accidentally hitting neutral when shifting down, guess you've all done that, not nice). Hopefully I'll get used to it. But very easy riding in technical terrain, no worry about shifting gear clutching. And no stalling as it just frees out.

Switched over to a Michelin t63 130/80 17", so far they've been a good tyre on and off and not a bad price either
