Buenos Aires to Alaska
We found about ADV recently, in the middle of our trip to Alaska. Ramiro, the motorcycle driver, left Buenos Aires on the 15th of february 2013. He went through Bolivia, Perú, the Amazons in Brazil, Venezuela, Colombia and got to Panama on the 23rd of march. I, Pia, cought up with him in Panama City (by plane), hoped on to his bike and we have gone through Nicaragua, Honduras, El Salvador and are now in Antigua, Guatemala. Our plan is to continue north, through México, United States, Canada and finally to Alaska.
Luckily I have not had the pleasure to share the first month on the bike with Ramiro, through the Camino de la Muerte and the icy roads in Bolivia; and the BR319 (during the rainy season) in Brazil, where the mud was so deep he had to be towed by a tractor after several inconveniences, sleeping under the rain and 24 hours without water. We are very happy to enter this fórum, and will continue to write about our trip. Chau! |

Fantastic!!
Would have liked to have heard the details and pictures of the trip through South America and Central America.....but looking forward to following along for the rest of the trip  Have a great trip!!! |

There is another Argentine rider who are riding through America, his name is Pablo Luna and he is going to Alaska too, maybe you can ride together through México.
