2012 Moto Guzzi Norge
Well after a wait of 30 years, I have purchased a bike...a brand new 0 miler Moto Guzzi...a dream come true...'did a 13 hour trip from Niagara Falls to Sudbury and back...'got a 35 minute test ride just to make sure, fell instantly in love, it was everything I'd hoped for...the dealer in Sudbury was excellent and agreed price was the best I could find anywhere in North America...anyways I gotta go, talk more later when I have more time...

Congrats Taglioni! She is a beauty. I had an old 76 Moto Guzzi V1000 Convert for many years, sold her 6 years ago because I never rode, and for two years I didn't miss riding. Then one day I saw the Norge, and it was like an epiphany. I had to ride again! I lusted for a Norge, but could not afford one, so I bought a buddy's Triumph Trophy, then sold her for a 2010 Triumph Tiger 1050. And a KLR for dual sport stuff. Ride almost every day now, but I owe it to that beautiful Norge. Perhaps someday I will own one. But I am pretty happy with the Beauty (Tiger) and the beast (KLR).
Be safe, enjoy - and like the man said, POST PICTURES! Welcome to the Asylum! TomC407

Congratulations, I too recently took delivery of a new 2012 Norge. I was looking for a smallish comfortable touring bike with some character and after riding everything remotely answering that description the Norge was by far the best for what I wanted.
Thinking at the time I would only use it for longer trips and use my vmax for everything else ,now some 3 months later I find I only ride the Guzzi its such a sweet handling and generally enjoyable bike to ride |

Awesome! Congrats! I've got a Stelvio, and the Stelvio & Norge share many parts (engine, etc). If you like your Norge half as much as I like my Stelvio, you'll be a happy camper! The character of that V-twin is something special...makes for a great riding experience.

Should give you all the charming positives, of remembering your distant rides back in your bevel drive days, without desmodromic servicing, cam belt replacement intervals, angst over ethanol fuels and "plastic" gastanks expanding, dry clutch issues, that purchasing a more modern Ducati could have presented.
The 2012 Norge is (IMO) a thinking man's euro tourer, a good choice for you personally (Hell, I know him), great pricing and with solid factory ownership these past few years, finally a solid foundation ! 996DL |
