Entertaining report chaps and chapess. Quick question. I know Terry is using an Air Hawk to keep his bum as fresh as a baby's 'cos he told me. Are you other folk using such luxuries or something else. Got a big trip coming up with the Mrs and the seat on our Yam Xt660R is hard, though not as 'ard as you lot

. Been on to an Air Hawk supplier and he reckons we would need two seats, a rider and a pillion, at over 300 quid. Seems a bit steep so I thought I'd ask you guys what works for you

Damn, I was told about an excellent rider report here and after 4 days of breathless reading I have to say what an awesome RR this is. Nice to recognize Prutser in a different setting, I once had the privilege of riding his 600cc airhead to get some sandwiches in Alphen where he supplied me with some purple gold for a 1200GSA. The bike ran stunningly smooth, one of the smoothest bikes I have ever ridden, you could hardly tell if it was running and needed a twist of the wrist to make sure it was the case . I can very much imagine how your airhead conquered Mongolia, Bas. Epic story and superb photography!

We jocks are so hard we use a brick with nails in it.......

Actually I had a candy-ass seat built by Tony Archer in Huddersfield . Not sure if it's as good a s a Renazco but it was a quarter of the price at 60 quid-100 bucks.

I cant comment on the freshness or otherwise of Terry's rear end ... As far as I know, his airhawk was spluttering ... it was little more than a fart cushion in the end. It had an unpatchable leak. He sat on it and air came out. Terry can elaborate.

But the other 4 of us had aftermarket seat work done. My cheeks were kept supple with a Rayz seat (http://www.facebook.com/RayZseats) ... and I believe Prutser and Beamster also used a Rayz from Holland. Rod had some sort of an English seat - fitted with nails to stop him getting lazy.

I have one and it turned a 50 mile enduro seat into an all day 300 miler. They are best with as little air in as possible obviously a bit more than Terry's by the sound of it. For me it worked well
the only crap thing is the cover absorbs all the water when it rains.

I have enjoyed this rr very much (understatement). If any of you happen to visit the states be sure and say Hi. I live in Bettendorf,Iowa (2 hours from Chicago on the Mississippi river off Interstate 80). We've had visitors from around the world (Transylvania and China among them). All the best in your future travels.

Well but me no butts! 300 quid or 400 Euros is a lot of petrol, wine, beer or vodka so I'll go upmarket for the dear lady and fork out 15 quid for a lambskin. I get by with my sheepskin so I'm sure she'll manage.
