PM me with your info.
I sent you the address and when I'll be home. Plenty of room and an empty shop, nice lift and tire changer/balancer. If you want to change oil I have waste oil storage so no problem. (I have some nice Craftsman tools you can use too )

Stunning Images. Some of the best on this site. And this coming from a Getty Images Photographer who has had the privilege of shooting Images in over 25 Countries for a Living for over 30 years. Well Done. I will enjoy this one alot.

Stayed at Dale hollow lake park for the weekend and what a nice little park, wifi, hot shower, laundry and a nice buffet at the lodge. got to hike around a bit but due to the cold front that came down and cloudy weather not many shots. 35 degrees this morning but my gear is holding up so no sweat. This floridian has german blood so he can handle some cold. Heading towards mammoth caves and hopefully sleeping at land between the lakes park. Wish i had better weather as some of these old farm houses and farms in kentucky are stunning and great photo material . But riding in 45 degree weather calls for little to no stops, sure you guys can relate.

Coming into IL from Cave-In-Rock (ferry) and then northwest is better (more forest) than coming in at Paducah. Route 127 through Alto Pass (Bald Knob Cross) is better than Route 3. North of Murphysboro route 3 is better. Good food, camping, hiking in Giant City State Park. http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=629042 I'll be up by 7 am if you call in the AM, up late tonight too.

Week 3

One of two shots taken in TN

2nd

Disaster

Why buy firewood when there is plenty of dead trees and you have a Bahco.

My short stay in Tennessee was uneventful say for the first rain of the trip, cold and the first time i broke down and got a hotel. Kentucky at least from my travels can be described by a couple of pics, hay, farms and old farm houses. Spent two nights at Dale hollow lake and the place was pretty amazing and peaceful. Got to hike around a bit, check out the lake and score the buffet at the lodge. By far the nicest campground i've stayed in and i highly recommend it. Mammoth caves which i had been looking forward to was pretty disappointing. Not the cave it self but the whole experience, it felt like i was back in Florida at one of the disney parks. On the contrary to the cave tour the mammoth campground proved to be pretty nice and i got to unwind and spend some time on my hammock. Deer were all around and a few even slept within sight. Land between the lakes is my next stop along with a pitstop near St.louis for some bike maintenance. More to come......

Week 3 continued.....

Red Bud sunset

Hope

Sad

Thank you!

3 weeks 2,500 miles and going strong. Land between the lakes was incredible though one would need a lot of time to explore it all. Got new rubber and fresh oil in Red bud (Tks Sieg!) Rode through the Mark Twain forest and spent an amazingly peaceful night under the milky way. Wish i could have hung around another night. Slept in Joplin then made my way to Hutchinson where i was greeted by my dream lens, gift from a special someone. Eventually got a taste of the big nothing called Kansas. I will never ever ever complain about Florida's straight roads again! Finally Gaia has granted me my weather window so to the nay sayers snowless Colorado here i come......

Colorado continued...

Colorado is a place I'd like to call home someday. My Stay was short but sweet. Couch surfed in colorado springs and checked out the garden of the gods at sunrise. Took 24 north out of CS and checked out pikes peak, highest I've ever been. 24 led me west through some of the most beautiful scenery I've seen so far. Folllowed by a jaunt south back to 50 where I aimed for Gunnison and eventually Crested Butte. CB is one of those places that you have to experience not hear about so I won't go much into it. I was hosted by a genuine gentleman who also travels and dabs in photography who treated me like family. All thanks to a crazy bearded cook who runs around these parts and is currently somewhere in Uruguay on his limping KLR. Spent two days recuperating and enjoying a town with less than 2,000 occupants. Met some of the quirky locals who seem like the type of people who just ran into the place and decided to leave everything behind and stay. Can't say that I blame them.
Will never get over the unlocked doors and bicycles specially outside the bars. Rode 50 west and got to check out a bit of Black Canyon. Then shot through Montrose where I took a "short cut" through a dirt road that goes by 90 through the beautiful Uncompahgre National forest. Where I managed to get lost and had to spend the night. Though in hind site I'd love to get lost there again. With snow and rain approaching courtesy of Brutus I fled west to Moab, Utah where I'm currently stuck in the twilight zone...
