What grade of gas for 73 Yamaha TX750

Just wondering what grade of gas I should be running. Thanks.

I don't know that it's necessary, but I'm using premium. I figure that 20 cents more per gallon for three gallons won't break the bank and don't know how today's blends compare to those of the 70s.

I had the answer right in front of me all the time. I gotta remember to read the owner's manual.

Mine loves Avgas, but Premium at the pump when afield.

Aviation fuel. High octane, still has lead, no ethanol crap, not legal (strictly) for motor vehicle use because it works well (and taxes, don't forget the taxes).

My rule of thumb is run "premium" on anything that's air-cooled - especially motorcycles.

Remember that today's "regular" grade is lower octane than it was in that era. Today's "super" barely equates to the regular of yesteryear
