I just came here to post this, Kris is an old classmate of mine from the ol' military school days. I ordered my Blu-Ray and CAN'T WAIT to see all you've done. I'm letting all my other riding buddies know about this one. Best of luck!

Expected Finish Date?
Wow! This looks to be a great documentary and I agree with your philosophy that the more we all know about other cultures the better humans we all are.
When do you anticipate completing the movie? I would like to purchase a blue ray when they are ready. Thank you, Grins |

Cool, you can only watch Long Way Round/Down so many times! By the way have you considered contacting those guys to help get it off the ground? They would know who to talk to & more than likely help with funding if there is a $ in it & there s some charity work being done as well. Worth a try?

Hi guys, thanks so much for your contributions and the kind comments. I am really excited about producing something that I feel so passionate about for someone who cares as much as you guys do. Having worked on image films for large corporations before, let me tell you this is not always the case.
@gr8grins: The movie will be finished and delivered to everyone who supports us now, in May'13 (June the very latest). The idea is to sell as many copies as possible now, so we can fund the post-production. I'd be very happy if you help make this happen. Let me know if you have any more questions. @Hendo66: I actually tried several ways to contact the producer David who helped get the LongWayRound/Down movie off the ground. I was surprised of how much of an barrier there is. I have never heard a thing. Thank you all very much for your support, you can help make this movie more awesome by spreading the word. I'm sure you are already… Cheers you all.

You should post a youtube link to your preview... I know Vimeo has great quality but the social networking benefits on Youtube are a mile better imo. I can then like it/favourite it and then all my subs will see it in their newsfeed, etc. and so on.

Awesome footage and well edited trailer, much better than the Long Way Round/Down. No celebs or backup crew make for a more real life documentary.
I'm in and looking forward to the final cut. |

Am I a bad motorcycle owner if I have cleaned by bike only once in 15 years, once since I bought it really? In my defence, I cleaned extremely thoroughly when before I entered Australia. The quarantine authorities are very, very particular about any vehicle entering Australia being absolutely clean. Cleaner than new. It took me 6 full days to take everything apart and clean it ALL. I don't wanna do this again....

Yeah mate, they are really strict, we just spend the day before yesterday cleaning all our gear, camping gear, sleeping bags, everything, to remove any sign of dirt.
After this trip, and the pain it was to buy/sell in England to tour Europe, I thought that it would be best to just ship from Australia. But that doesn't take into account that we would have to clean it thoroughly before shipping it back on the return leg. A painful job indeed. |

Yeah man, I definitely wouldn't wanna do it again. So much easier AND cheaper to simply buy a bike in the country. But once you're done so many miles on your own bike, it's a sentimental aspect...
