GPS question about ETREX Legend
Why can I not find an address with my Legend? It show the line I need to click on but it is not highlighted and won't let me do it?

Huh?
Not sure what you mean...
A GPS will take you to lat/long coordinates and places of interest where the lat/long coordinates have been recorded. Addresses are not strictly meaningful to a GPS, especially an eTrex Legend. Can you elaborate on what you're trying to do? B |

You do not have a mapping product loaded that supports address finds
ie you have only the basemap or maybe Topo loaded |

That feature is only on the routable-streets products like the StreetPilot, GPS-V, Quest, etc. In the Legend series the streets are just background wallpaper, so are the available topo maps.

Tonya, that is incorrect, the legend will support adress finding if it has adress routable maps, if you load city select into the legend it will be able to look up adresses, just not route to them. Same with the gps V, it needs adress type maps like metroguide or city select to search for adresses.
