Colorado. I believe this was on Route 62, between Ridgeway and Placerville somewhere.

Utah. Route 95 on the way to Glen Canyon.

Utah. 261 on the way to Mexican Hat.

South Rim of the Grand Canyon

Old Route 66 somewhere in Arizona?

Southern California Hills. Caliantebudfish road?... "Damn Boi... what's your hurry, you on your way to a fire?"... "Well, yes I am, officer."

Chemung Mine, Califonia, out near the gohst town of Bodie...

New Idria, California, its an abandoned quicksilver mining town, and Super fund site (very toxic place...)

The gate to an abandoned uranium mine I used to ride in, until they gated it off...

While the OP suggested "One pic and a short description.", I'm glad to see that the one pic rule was thrown out on the first page.

Otherwise lots of great photos would have been missed. This thread is worth going back to revisit over and over. Thanks to all for some great photos.

My own contributions may not aspire to those same levels, but they bring back memories of some great rides, most of them here in Alaska.

From a recent ride close to home, a couple of months before it dropped to 50 below. Three Mile Lake, just out of Chitina -
