Again, if you are around Ft. Worth, Texas, we are located about 40 miles southwest of there in a very scenic town called Granbury. Looks like it is out of a Western Movie set. If you need a place to stay, we would be glad to have you. Can send GPS info, if needed.

Heidi & Bernd
Ok, since the two are pretty busy "hitting" the road - let me provide a little update:
they made it thru Mexico and are now in the Santa Barbara area. They highly appreciate all the assistance and advice that was given to them until now. So, once again, if you have not done so yet but are ready and available to help fellow-bikers, please contact them at: unterwegs(at)welt-tour.com GPS data will always be helpful

They may want to stay in CA for a bit, a very cold week headed into the Southwest with highs in Las Cruces in the 40's (4 - 5c) for the next week but after that may hit 70f (21c). I'll be here until the 21st then will probably head to Big Bend

Latest known location of Heidi & Bernd: Las Vegas
Hope they will have enough money after that to continue their trip ![]() Or maybe they can afford another couple of years on the road

If they pass through the Jackson, MS area and need a place to stay I have room. They can definitely camp at my farm in Flora, MS, I may possibly have room at my house in Brandon, MS but my wife may overrule me on that one. The farm has a small shack with a toilet and shower but there is no sleeping room so they will need a tent. I'm in the process of building a larger building with a one bed, one bath, loft apartment, the interior is not finished but the electricity is turned on.

Same of Arkansas.. If they head on this way, I'd be glad to host them, and feed them.

Last update - at least I think so:
present location "some place in Florida"! One more week to go - and then it will be "wanna go home"! They (almost) finished their RTW and I strongly assume will have lots of good memories, also thanks to the biker community! All of you did a GREAT job in helping them and this is highly appreciated!! ![]() As always: some day, somewhere out on the road ..... we shall meet!! |
