Ok, You have it the log dialed in............
Now, You know in your head you can and will do it all,
But back up a bit, most sections you will encounter like Gordy said, will be mostly turns, off camber both ways with maybe a 8-12" log, usually at a 90Deg. If you really want to learn stuff quick, and if you are good at that clutch, try your hardest to just forget about 1st gear, Thats right, throw it away, work on setting that throttle at one speed just above idle, and work the clutch and practice full lock circles, back and fourth figure eights etc,If its a bit much for you, see if you can remove half of the clutch springs in your bike, this will give you a super light feel, and maybe enough slip in the clutch to help not jump on you.. get bored? well throw a tiny log in the way, work on the load unload over logs etc, There is so much wonderful people out there to help with tips, also on the TTC web site with videos, Just dont try to much to fast, also dont be afraid to wear more protective stuff when learning, Trials injurys are way different than most faster riding boo boo's...most are blunt ones where they bruise for weeks !! I have an awesome bruise pik to prove but would most likely be censored here ![]() Just have fun, the learning curve is unreal !! ![]() |

Good tip on getting the clutch skills going.
![]() There is so much to learn in this sport and it truly is a case of we don't know what we don't know!! Gotta get on the road for this weekends event. . Now I get to see what things I don't know that I had no idea that I was supposed to know.

Thanks, gentlemen,
Because of the nonprofit I run, my personal facebook and my nonprofit's facebook are fully visible and so should show anywhere any time, whether the viewer is a facebook member or no... but I'll try to remember to put bike videos on youtube for advrider. Can everyone see both of these now, though? or do i need to repost the "step 1 -- up without the down" a 3rd time???
