Didnt know they upgraded or changed it. Not gonna buy a "new" one. Looked cool, worked for a little while. Probably saved my belt from breaking.

Not bashing teh product but just saying I broke it.

There was an earlier version of the tensioner that had some challenges.

The revised unit has been successfully used by many many Buell owners world wide.

Just clarifying the situation.

one of the first belt breakage problems was storage,HD dealers had the belts wadded up to reduce space.did yours come boxed?

When I replaced my tires I put a new belt on my 08X that only had 10k on it. needed a spare and was told the newer belts were better. I am going mod my tensioner this weekend as this makes complete since. Thanks for posting it. I have been riding Harleys for 30 yrs with untold miles never had a broken belt and some of my harleys had 80+K miles on them when traded.

I believe tension and load plays a huge part but belts are proven......yes I carry the old belt in my Uly
