Seattle area meet and ride
Meet at the Snoqualmie summit Chevron. Saturday the 10th, 10:00 am .
The idea is a meet and ride a few FS roads in the area then grab something to eat afterwards.

I wish I could be there.
How deep is the snow up there now?

What's the story behind this? How technical do you think these F/S roads will be? I'm on a DL1000/DMC rig with street tires on the tug and a Duro-ish tire on the chair.

Howdy All,
Barring unforeseen circumstances, Donna planing something for me to do at the last minute or really inclement weather, my semi-frozen, wet, arse will be at the gas station at the appointed time.

Just my opinion, worth what you paid for it, put a good knobby tire on the pusher, then join the rest of us idiots and have some fun.

I rode this last Friday. No snow any where. Very little mud, but several puddles. Might I add that a Ural hitting a puddle at 25 splashes water directly in your face. I know as i did this no leas than ten times. I have street tires, stock, on my Ural and had no traction issues.
Pic is from the Rachel Lake trail head.

This is very safe and sane riding. This is the route I took my first sidecar dirt ride on. You can take it slow or ride it hardcore. Only one small section that is sort of rocky, I take it slow as I don't want to change a flat. The rest is mostly a one lane gravel road, more or less.

Is this something a street rig can join in and survive? Per the avatar you can see mine is a Goldwing/Escort rig. I don't mind getting dirty or even getting stuck a little, but don't want to be cracking plastic.

Just moved up here
But have the bike in storage till we secure a better place to live. Just pulled the battery and brought it back to the apartment to put on the battery tender.
I'm going to be grumpy till we can get moved into a house and I can ride again.

I guess I will forget the meet. I just remembered my rig is "out of service" for a while.
The other day I started to take it out and discovered the chair wheel was flat, picked up a screw or something. The tire was getting close to being replaced anyway so I am not going to repair it. A new tire has been ordered but I doubt it will be here this week. Have fun all of you..

I'm in for this as well. May even be able to get my wife to ride monkey with me. Looking forward to spending some time on the Ural again. Two wheeling has been keeping me too busy.
