That right there is first class warranty/customer service. Without missing a beat they will replace the light (only afterwards did I find out they come with a lifetime warranty on the LED internals).

So it is going out in the mail.

I have posted in this thread on more than one occasion how much I am impressed by these lights, combine that with how Daryle (sp???) run his business and he is my go to guy for all my lighting need. ALL of my bikes are running his lights in one flavor or another.

Thank you for your business and support!!

When I'm out riding with friends they report that my long range extreme lights dance around. I think it's some sort of optical illusion because they are mounted solidly. Anyone else notice this?

They also noted they were extremely bright but not annoying to them. This was at 1/2 power.

potentially serious head issue with H7 replacements...

Just sent the following to Cyclops

Hello,

I just installed in these (H7 LED headlamp module) in my 2011 1200GS. Took it for a ride, and my low beam started blinking (high beam wasnít on). The back cap was vented, and the LED/heat sink assembly was not hot to the touch, however the little puck (not sure what it is) was very hot. Took the unit home and connected it to a 12 volt supply while sitting on my tile floor. Again, LED/heatsink stayed cool, but in 10 mins the puck was over 190F (as measured by an inferred thermometer), and it started blinking.

I moved the other unit from the high-beam to the low-beam solution. Ran it for a while on the GS, then measured the puck, it was north of 170F, and I suspect rising. Again the headsink/LED module was not hot to the touch.

This doesnít work for me, and I suspect if the pucks are running that hot while shoved with the extra wiring with the headlight assembly, itís just generally not good.

Please let me know my options.

Really??
Why would you post 3X in both our vender threads at the same time sending us emails?
All have been replied to within 12 hrs.

There is no overheating issue with your H7 you do potentially have a defective bulb. Please return both for a refund.

Cyclops was more than pleasant to deal with WRT my concern regarding the temperature of the LED components. I believe they think the blinking unit is just an early failure, and the other unit is functioning as intended. The "puck" is designed to dissipate heat, and they say it isn't causing problems with very many satisfied customers.

The temps I posted are as accurate as I'm able to measure with my $40 infer-red thermometer. I'm guessing that lamp housing and wiring are designed to tolerate those temps.

Thank You
We are happy to answer any questions about anything here, but would prefer to keep the Aux light and light bulb threads as separate as possible.

AUX LED's on a DR650

Here are some pictures of a pair of 2" 10 watt Round LED Light Next Generation Prime that I mounted on my DR650. These lights are unbelievable and they look and feel "high quality." Since I'm local, I met Darryl and we discussed lighting options for my motorcycle. He picked the perfect lighting solution for me and I'm a happy and very satisfied customer.

Thanks Darryl!
