Great Photos and Blog from Australia Encompassed Tour 2013
So we all know that Australia offers some amazing motorcycle riding and many of you have probably already been and experienced the Great Ocean Road, Flinders Ranges, Kakadu National Park, Tasmania, Oodnadatta Track and Ayers Rock.....we aren't hear to preach about it but we just thought we'd give some of the blog posts and photos from our recent Australia Encompassed Tour that went from Darwin to Melbourne over the course of 19 days in September 2013.
We had ten riders join us and the bikes consisted of 8 BMW GS, one Yamaha Super Teneré and one Ducati Monster.....
It was hot and humid in the North when the bikes were unloaded ready to head south towards Kakadu National Park, Katherine Gorge, Ayers Rock, The Flinders Ranges, Barossa Valley, the Grampians and finally that well known series of twisties.....The Great Ocean Road.
There were Crocodiles, birds, flies, ancient rocks, watering holes, sand dunes, National Parks and Camels. There were termite mounds, giant boulders, wine tastings and a hot air-balloon ride far too early in the morning. There was a broken mud guard due to an over-excited rabbit, there was dust, sand, stones, road trains and one day out of nineteen when it rained....
More importantly there was some great food, good people and some faces that were stretched out in semi-permanent smiles and we thought we would share some of the photos from the trip with you....
The Australia Encompassed Tour is over for this year but we have plenty more motorcycle tours in Australia scheduled for 2014 including those being lead by Charley Boorman.
Visit http://www.compassexpeditions.com/blog/ to read more about the blog from the last section and also some of the best photos from the entire trip.....
For those of you who don't know us we are Compass Expeditions and we think we've got a pretty good selection of Motorcycle Tours throughout the world. Australia is a favourite of ours as well as South America and maybe you'll join us on one in the future...
