FUNDRAISING for new ADVRIDER DVD - AndersAroundTheWorld (rip off artist?)

Hi Fellow AdvRiders
(If you like my project, please leave a comment in the end of the thread to keep it floating to the forum top )

Visit the fundraising site here :

After 53734 & 13 free travel video webisodes ( Watch videos below) it's time to go gather all the lessons I have learned from "just" living my motorcycle dream. So I am making an up-to-date adventure motorcycling DVD guide, based on my RTW journey with all the things I wish I knew before I left home. The DVD will include up-to-date info on boarder crossing, budgets and extra material about everything from choosing a bike, to what happens if you have an accident or how to make your money last.In short "Anders Around The World" is everything you need to know about traveling the world by motorcycle.

"So it's like > The Long Way Round< with Ewan McGregor and Charlie Borland?"

Yes...... and Oh NO you didn't!

I watched and loved Ewan and Charlie's adventures, but here there are no camera crew, support vehicles, producers or security team. It's the real deal. No satellite phones, company credit cards or people to handle my boarder crossings and especially no budget for new equipment, when my old fail. It's just me, my adventure, my problems, my camera, laptop and my elbow grease turned into a DVD guide, so you don't have to worry about the same things I did. To be honest I don't even have money for the ticket home from Argentina:-)

The DVD will include:
  • Pre-departure preparations
  • Budgets and prices
  • Boarder crossing guides
  • MC shipping, and
  • Gear review and recommendations
  • + My 60000km journey
If you have more ideas or questions I'd love to hear them.
Stop googling and get on the road

I spend way too much time looking for up-to-date facts before this trip. 90% of the info I found was out-dated or not relevant, so here I try to gather the latest and greatest for you so you don't have to worry about it, and can just focus on getting on the road.

Hope you pre-order a DVD or just help me by posting a comment in the end of the thread.

Anders ( Around The World )

Watch my free web episodes here, and let me know what you think :-)

Anyone seen or heard from Anders recently or knows if he is ok? This indiegogo project was fully funded by July 1st and despite several requests for updates he's gone completely silent.

the Anders DVD - where has it gone . . . .

Aaaaahh yes, the indiegogo site is gone, no advrider activity since early May 2012 - one wonders if all of us precommiters to the 'Anders' DVD project have done our dough. There is a glimmer of hope - some Facebook activity in Nov-12, hopefully we haven't been abandoned!

Emailed Anders via his web site about a week ago, didn't get a reply. I also cannot find any reference to his DVD except the odd orphaned reference like this one in AdvRider.

I suspect the project has been abandoned so all you precommitters out there (myself included) have probably done our dough.

I guess like most of us here I am happy to support riders but don't like to be treated like a mug.

He has bagged the dough and no response as soon as the indiegogo funds were provided.

May the adv gods find him....and serve a dish of karma

Gives a new meaning to take the money and run... He's not welcome back on ADV. Thread closed. If anyone paypal'd him in the last 45 days, be sure to file a claim and get a refund. Apparently indiegogo have ditched him also for taking the money and pulling a houdini.
ADV decals, patches & flag? Here
