nope... these are real 95+ mph winds experienced during a few boy scout camping trips. both my boys are eagle scouts if that means anything to you.

translated that means camping out about once a month from cub scouts to eagle scouts for two boys. our troop was not a fair weather troop. we went camping in all weather conditions from monsoon rains/winds to 9f degrees was our low.

our troop was located in Tulsa, OK... tornado alley if you don't believe the winds we get.

my windiest campout was during above described freewheel trip when a tornado touched down next to our camp. next windiest was on hurricane ridge in the Titons using a Bibler I-tent. all true stories...

I have an Alps Taurus 2.0 that I got at Cabelas on sale for $80. It's been through countless camping trips, been deluged, neglected and stuffed poorly into a bag and it's still rock solid.

Thanks OP for the links. I just ordered a Mystique 1.5 for under $65 shipped. Looks like Cabelas is really closing these out almost a year later.
