My ass hurts just looking at that excuse of a seat. Hopefully if it makes production they will have a seat thats not just for the track.

Looks like a track only bike (prototype). No head or tail lights, turn signals. Also, is that a camera in the number plate area, and one on the rear?

Is it just me or does it look just like a z1000? But with even less fairing?

Awesome looking bike thought!

The buzz from my dealer says otherwise, it will be coming to these shores. It is real and it is fabulous.

1290 cc v twin? My 990 is rated at 113bhp. I do not know if that is crank or WHP. But I do know that it is , in the nomenclature Bentley uses "adequate".
So another 300 cc of displacement? Gonna be a lot more than "adequate"

I'll be surprised to see it. If so, my dealer won't have any.

I like the look of my 07 990 better, but I guess I'd have to see one in person before I can really judge it.

Is your dealer Ridersville by any chance? They are a pretty big dealership so I'd think they'll get at least a couple in. Regarding the 1290 vs 990. I love my '08 990 but I'd sell it/trade it in an instant to make way for the new 1290. The new machine is simply on a completely different performance level than the old one. Unlike the undeniable performance increase of the new bike looks are a subjective thing. I like the looks of the old bike but it certainly wouldn't win any beauty contests. The new one's styling is just a progression of KTM's super angular design theme. Obviously, some like it and some don't.

Morgantown is my local dealer.
I'd consider the 1290 if I had nearly enough skill to ride my 990 the way it was built to be.

And I do not need a faster bike, not at all.
My license is skating on thin ice right now.

I think the new Duke is sick, but I don't understand why KTM made the 300 cc jump all at once.

I mean, where do you ever go from here? What is the practical size limit in a bike like this? I would figure 1300cc's is pretty damn close.

Just tiny tweaks for the rest of time, or eventually a 1600cc Duke?
