The orange and white SD prototype is simply freaking sick! I would break my neck on one of those things.

Nice music on that video!

7 days left...

I did a KTM demo day and they had ALL the bikes there. The SD was my favorite!

Awesome bike. Will have to wait and see how the production model looks and hopefully get some reviews. Currently deciding whether to keep my 990 SMR, spring for the 1190 Adventure R, or wait for this insane Superduke. Will demo the 1190 this Saturday.

after the superduke R....I keep telling myself no more naked bikes.

but I think I'll have to take a look.....

it'll depend on the suspension. hopefully it has RC8 (43mm) forks and a linked rear suspension.

I did not like my superduke on rough pavement. and that damn plastic tank warp.

Hey man I think I'm going to head down from Bellingham tomorrow as well. Deciding on taking the smt or jeep. Depends on the rain. I hate Seattle traffic in the rain.

Insane specs on this thing. Lighter than my 990 SMR???? This is my next bike. Kind of reminds me of back in 1999 when I got one of the first Hayabusas, only the 1290 weighs much much less and makes much much more power And, oh yeah, there is supermoto mode!!!!!

I bet it won't be doing much much more power, I expect 160bhp compared to the 155bhp of the busa.
Since I cannot buy the damn thing, I might as well convert to bars my 05 hayabusa

Yes, the 180 number is probably at the crank. 160 is still crazy though.

The 0-200KPH in 7.2 seconds time they quote on the KTM site is faster than the Hayabusa to that speed and 4 seconds faster to the same speed than my 2008 SD. This 1290 Super Duke is freaking insane!

But the question remains. What's the MSRP? I say north of $15000 USD.
