I bumped into Bloomberg's take on Audi's struggles with Ducati. Sort of a non report, and probably not very accurate. Can't seem to get the models right. But whatever...

I guess the $70k Superbike mentioned in the clip is a 342lb version of the Panigale called the Superleggera. Somehow, I don't think that product is meant to generate profits. Interesting motorcycle, though:

Bloomberg ran a longer version of that clip every hour all day yesterday. Pretty good advertising that seemed to be targeting the Wall Street crowd.

Is this all about homologation? Seems like anyone that could afford it isn't likely to be capable of exploiting its performance.

I thought they were referencing the Desmosedici road bike.

I would love to see what the Superleggera really weighs and what it actually puts out at the wheel.

A DS 1000 motor in a(n) (actual) 320 lb. package would suit me just fine. Horsepower is easy. Light weight is divine.

That is a good question! Makes sense to me. I guess I should have posted it in the World Supers thread, but at the time I thought they were referencing the street vergion of their MotoGP bike.

2007 - 2010; is that 3 years? Or 4 years?
