BUT WAIT! WSBK in less than 2 weeks, right?
RIGHT! Will start by waving flags on Friday at PI for private testing, and again on Monday Tuesday, for the official WSBK test.

And it's interesting how everyone forgets about the one on one battle between #46 &#27 at PI in 2009.....no excuses

Add at least Crutchlow and Bradl into that mix occasionally, and yeah, there should be some edge-of-your-seat stuff coming up.
I agree that Crutchlow and Bradl will be up there at times, Bradl was quietly impressive last year, he could very well step it up a notch, and there is no question his bike isn't up to it. And Crutchlow is just plain nuts! I think he'll see the podium a few times as well.

Remains to be seen

Testing and raceday are two different mosters. If he starts pulling podiums right off the bat, then I'd agree. Until I see him off the grid and not on a time sheet, I'm not counting Dani out yet.

Particularly if he picks up where he left off last year.

Got my flights to Austin so I guess we will see how MM and Rossi go this year. As Krop said it is going to be a banner year, with a lot of interesting stuff. I am also interested in the Cal/Bradl battle. I expect some good tight racing for 5-6 when there are no issues with the probable front four.

Who's on top?

I think one of the most critical elements this season will be how MM behaves/acts/responds when the flag drops on the first couple of races. Most of the front runners show their maturity by allowing the first lap to develop slowly - they seem to respect tire and track temperatures and how much that full tank of fuel affects the first two laps. The 'regulars' in the series know they can probably run down any rabbits (aka 'Dani') after the dust clears and a little bit of breathing room develops over the first lap. Unfortunately, it always seems that youngsters like MM don't understand the race can't be won on the first lap. I think MM actually believes that the race MUST be won on the first lap. If we can just get through the first three races without someone getting sent into the kitty litter by the adrenalin-fueled kid from Spain, I think this will be one heck of a season.

It will be interesting to see in MM shows any of his overly aggressive moves.

Both he and Rossi have much to prove this year and with any luck they should end up racing each other on more than a few occasions.

Cant wait to hear the howls if he should "accidently" nerf 46 off the line at the end of the front straight.

I'm counting on some hairball moves from MM at the start of the first few races. I don't want to see anyone crash, but forcing someone wide is ok. When I want to watch a race steeped in strategy, I watch LMS. I want to see MM bring it and liven things up. I'm hoping he turns out to be a nice mix of Simoncelli's impetuousness and Stoner's skill, with a long time in the series.

I'm also set up to travel to Austin, 2nd race of the season, maybe they will be settling into their game plans and there will be a great show, with Marquez, Rossi, Lorenzo, Pedrosa, Crutchlow, Bradl all battling it out. Wouldn't that be a change.
