It is appealing and I agree it has a Victory influence as well as BMW K1100 series with the side grill, roundel and the view of the boxer engine. We had three GW's (1100 and 1200) and I like the look of this, also agree a 2nd gen Valk would be a smart addition/package to offer.
Anyways, be interested in rider feedback. She is a little lighter, but still HEAVY, and a common issue with all these two wheeled Buicks regardless GW, BM LT, HD Ultra Ultra tourers, et al, For me it's the old " less is more" and once at too much, it is just better to get a nice sports car if you need that much bulk to interact with. |

Which fucking article are you referring to? The Hell for leather article doesn't mention it, maybe the video does. The Honda website mentions neither cruise control or ABS. The Honda website says "CBS" which I assume is their combined breaking system.
So no ABS and no cruise control. Not quite deal breakers, but at least puts a hitch in my giddy up.

From Honda's website, only the black, non-ABS will be offered initially.
The red, ABS version is to come later. http://powersports.honda.com/touring...-wing-f6b.aspx NFE |

I was at Southern Powersports last Sat. and the salesman told me Honda was going to have big news on monday. He said they were pretty sure we were going to get the 1200X. I just about threw up when I saw this FB6. I want the 700X's big brother.

The bike grows on me every time I look at it. But it seems Honda is going the cheapo route. Once you have Cruise Control, you'll never go back. ![]() And ABS is dealbreaker. I spent lots of time practicing emergency stops without ABS. With it, a no brainer. Mash everything. It's fantastic. Cakeeater |

Though I can't imagine every owning this kind of bike, I have to admit I like it a lot. Sure, it's way too heavy, way too big, doesn't seem to have ABS, is very expensive etc...but someone needed to introduce something other than a big V-twin into the bagger market, and that smooth six is awesome.

I like the lines of the bike and the concept as I am pro-Wing. It's instantly the most reliable bagger that can be had. But no ABS, no cruise control is probably going to leave anyone they attract to this new approach wanting more. The boxer 6 is smooth as silk, a torque monster and 5th gear is good from 30 to 130 mph...the lighter model will benefit from this and the suspension will get a break.
They had the right idea...just slightly missed the mark. I suspect it will do better in the twisties than a standard Wing but sometimes you have to ride along way to get to the twisties. The cruise control will be sorely missed on the interstate eating GW platform. The further I get from home, the "less is more" theory doesn't hold up. I wouldn't be surprised to see these features get resurrected on future models. However, I like the way the handled the intrumentation..... ![]() http://gl1800riders.com/forums/showt...out-of-the-bag Z |

No abs doesn't bother me, but cruise control is a must on this bike along with a taller windshield.
If they put cruise and a electric windshield (like on the St 1300 )on this bike I feel it would be about perfect. |

F6b?
I think that means it is the second generation F6, as in Valkyrie F6.
I don't care what they call it. It will run away from any Vision or HD. I have had 2 Valkyries and this black one just looks right to me.
