Yes I made more than one fan mad by a no stop five. I even had one guy tell me I did not count to three. ( He was not happy with my response!) Overall it was very good and we made it quite clear where we stood on scoring. The best thing the trials flowed quite well with quick rides and no riders walking the sections. (except the ones changed the night before) The riders and minders all know the rules. They have always pushed hard to bend them.
There is a strict time limit. After that 30 minutes of grace and points for each minute late. Not quite sure the formula the FIM uses, but even our nationals are the same way. So watch out for riders running late!!

You surely needed to have your head on a swivel as minders and mechanics racing through the spectators to try to hurry around the loop were quite common. Added to the excitement

In the second video, section 6-day 1, is that where Bou got his 5? It sure looked like he stopped a few times to me.
If this is no stop, it looks like a terrible mistake with the guys taking numerous mini-pauses and are still hopping all over the place.. I would hate to score that.

I don't believe so, you can see a section worker between the trees at the very end of the video showing a clean. Iirc that should have been Bou's third loop that day if that helps.

Rusty, most of his videos was section 5 right in my face!! Really was not hard to score when it was inches in front of you!

So in that video, section 6, third loop on Sat----was that a stop or not?

It looked like a big stop and then some additional "pauses". How the hell is this scored?

I'm going back into the no-stop thread.

It seemed if you could go one thousand one and they were moving again it was considered no stop, because there were tons of micro pauses over the weekend that were considered still moving. I didnt have any problem with that as I watched it, it was the minders messing with rocks that seemed to arouse the most ire from my my more experienced spectators I was surrounded by.

Here are links to the videos I got with my chessy Canon rebel like camera, it is auto focus so some time when shooting video it cant keep up, but most of these are decent I think.
Also its my first time uploading to Youtube, so if the links are screwed I apoligize in advance
Lineaway - if I got your bad profile side on section 5 on Sunday a few times, it was not on purpose LOL

Fantastic set of Video's WB - thanks for sharing. I also posted them to the NETA facebook page. Hope thats OK - if not let me know and I'll remove them.

Can you imagine being the next rider to go after Tony Bou crashes hard? That has to shake anyone's confidence....
