Backroads south of 101 Northern Ontario

I'm looking for any information on the condition of the back roads that lead through crown land to Millwood and the Algoma central railway. From what I see you can access them either from hi-way 101 or 129. I ride a 1200 GSA and would appreciate any pointers and tire recommendations. Looking at a trip in late August or early Sept.

What a coincidence. I was just looking into this area myself. I've got a friend who used to live in Wawa and he was saying that the area has some specatcular rides.

I'll be curious to read about what you find.....

there are a lot of roads in there. You can connect and come out on hwy 17 connecting with the Eton rd and coming out at Frater although there is a gate that you need to know the combination near hwy 17.
There are other rd south of there which I haven't run out to 17 on. I believe mile 38 rd being the most popular coming out at the chipewa river. I've also run the powerline rd directly from millwood to Eton but you wouldnt' want to try that on a gsa.
you can also connect from chapleau to these rds.
Deadly99 has posted some of my tracks in this area on his advcanada site also. Let me know if you need more info.
