Adv. Touring Boots?
I ride a GSA 70% street and 30% dirt. Any suggestions on riding boots?

I'm enjoying my Forma Adventure Boots. 3 buckles and not too stiff like MX, also able to wear them all day, walk around when off the bike etc. Still offer good protection tho, and waterproof, for when you park in a stream

One of the best, if not THE best overall boots has to be Sidi On-Road Boots. They have been around forever, are waterproof, very comfortable and reasonably protective. Whether they are enough protection for your 30% off road I think depends on how aggressive your riding is.

TXC Infinity. Very comfortable, easy to walk around in. Waterproof, cool enough, warm enough. good protection. Buckles are a little funky though.

I'm thinking about the Aerostitch CBT but I'm a little concerned about the break in period?

Combat Lites
Don't sweat the break in. I used a brand new pair of these on a ten day tour of Italy using these as my primary footwear, no issues at all.
After six years they are holding up extremely well, and besides a cut or two look new. Soles are in great shape also. I did replace the laces last year. Best bootsive ever owned, and they are heavy but comfortable. Made by Sidi btw..... |
