You're a great photographer as well as adventurer. Still, when I hear Pichler and Austria, I think great wines.

Greatings from Prague, Jo and the very best for the rest of the ride!
Looking forward for more pics and impressions. :-)

I'm still undecided what to buy next spring... This new 1190R, the last 990R or to adventurize the 690 (surely the best offroad, but two cilinders are two cilinders)...?!

Thanks Joe

Thanks Joe for taking us along. Look forward to riding along and dreaming I was there!
Have a great trip, and please let us know how the 1190 is performing. We are all dying
to know what you think...

If a Hamer guy is leaving his home village as an.
He has to carry two things, his seat and a Kalashnikov.

Caleb on his 525 EXC is going with me along the east coast of Lake Turkana to Elye Springs.
Itís a bit unfair, heís the much better rider and has the much lighter motorcycle.

Not too many people ride the dirt track from Todanyang directly to Kalokol, close to the Lake Turkana. But itís a really nice riding there.

From Kalokol to Elye Spring then there is no track anymore. Either you go through deep sand, or along the shore. But it isnít always easy.

But now i have already the second cold Tusker and tomorrow I'll go to South Sudan.

Great photo's Joe - keep up the reports, it looks like you are having a great trip

I would be very interested in your views (though I know it is early into your trip) on the ridability of the 1190R, particularly compared to the 990 you are more used to.

After 6 years of 990's I will be changing in the Spring and it would be to get your views based on real time riding, both on and off road.

Best wishes
