Excellent presentation Reaver!

Good thinking for a wtf post!

BTW hope yer liking the MOD parts...spotted 'em in one of your other pics.

Got a new Touratech rear shock mounted up. The OE didn't want to play anymore.

So far on the road only it feels much more planted and smoother...

Let the abuse (riding) begin!

Also those of you with pre-2013 F800/F650 notice the brake reservoir mod. Bicycle seat post reflector mount. $0 at any bike shop...they got tons of 'em. That's where BMW got the idea from btw...my bike...yeah right.

I mounted the Nitron Adventure 2-way adjustable shock after my stocker pissed itself. I skimped on the hydraulic pre-load adjuster, but I will probably add that part next year. I'll appreciate it more that way.

So far I've ridden a week on a minimum maintenance road getting to work. I definitely need to lighten the pre-load, but that is expected with my light daily load being on the bottom of the weight range. Once I think the pre-load / sag is good, I'll start experimenting with the damping.

Installed new battery:

It was my turn to replace my battery after she has served 4 years to the bike.

Looked at my options out the and decided to go for a lithium battery. It was on sale and seemed to perform better than any other acid battery that I found out there.

I'm Impressed how light it is. only 1kg - oem is about x4 more.

And I liked this feature:

Next up: putting some aluminium tape on my headlamp. Getting seriously dark in there after +50k kms.

Alone? I am a one man wolf pack. Yes. I have been out a month with 3 weeks to go before I need to get back to my job. I am 30km from the Estonian border trying to decide where to next. Plan A is the Balkans and down to Romania to ride the Transvagarian Highway. Plan B is the ferry to Finland and across Scandinavia. Its cold up north though
The little twin-now named Goodenough-has been flawless. Yea the front fork goes clunk clunk on a choppy road, but it gets great mileage and has a big gas tank. I am amazed I haven't bent a wheel out here. The roads are as bad as anywhere on the planet and they go on for 1000's of miles
