Revenge Of Henge???
Its a battle to the finish right now between Steve Hengeveld (8x KAWI) and Timmy Weigand (1x HONDA). Honda had the physical lead leaving Loreto by 1.5 minutes. Henge would need to finish in front of 1x by 01:30:01. Does anyone remember the 2009 BAJA 1000 battle where Kendall stalked Henge for 150 miles to the finish and DESTROYED KAWI and Henge's hopes at the finish??? Here's what could happen tomorrow morning: Henge shouldn't wait til the final moment to make a move of Timmy because he needs to stretch out another 1.5 min on TW. So If Henge makes his move now, Timmy can play stalker and just keep him in his sites, possibly do a KENDALL repeat move on Henge and KAWI....that would be a bitch. Timmy has been working many night shifts in this final section and basing out of La Paz the whole time. Its time to start calling for the weather reports to see what they are up against. I know you all aren't ready for be just yet.

What it looks like out there:
For those who haven't been on this course or at least this part of it: The racers are on the SAN CARLOS hell zone. Endless miles of straight sand whoops for as far as the eye can see. They never seem to end. Pl... us the recent storms have made some water crossings, deep dips and just plain tough. Pre running trucks and buggies tore it up too. Both Henge and Weigand are battling it out down here and they both paid a lot of dues working the graveyard shifts to prepare for this moment. Our next update will be in 20 min. stay tuned
