I'm a newer rider and this is my first "big" trip. I probably ride slow for some of you and will have to stop for fuel near Victorville and Ridgecrest but if you're not in a rush to get out to DV, PM me.

My departure time my slip a little. I planned to leave tomorrow night directly from work but now the car's rear axle is about to grenade whihc messes up picking up the borrowed truck.

Might end up leaving either late Tuesday or on Wednesday morning, we'll see how it ends up. Will most likely limp the car to a parts store so I can put more gear oil in, get it home, then run the KLR out to Fullerton to get the truck.

I bought this, a stainless steel cup, and a can of fuel. Works awesome and packs small, total cost was about $25. I am really impressed with the quality of this cheap ass stove. This will be the first time used in the field but worked great in the garage. Cant wait to make my oatmeal!

Just got back from DV after a two day ride with the Mammoth Motorcycle Club.
I ran into Don Davis who is doing the Noob ride this coming weekend,
Don was very nice and let me camp at his site for free
For someone in his 70's I can only hope I'm doing the same thing later on in life.
So stop by and say hello to Don in campsite 10 this weekend.
Everyone be safe and have a Great time !!!

Thank's Don

Russ

Almost time

Prep and loading has been hell this time around, so I'm taking a break, and drinking JohnGil's Rangers.

I feel better now, leaving in the morning. I saved you some John.
Very tasty...bartender, another round
