Campsite reserved for Wednesday
#158 Oliver
#159 Diane Per NSFW's post #474 (riding in), we have a reservation on Wednesday the 27th for tent site #16 so if possible we would like to keep that site through Sunday. Thanks We won't need the tent cabin after all, taking our chances with the wind ;-). No large 50 gal garbage bags from us, promise! Hell, our panniers don't even hold that much O & D |

Joel, since you have a good connection with the resort, ask them if they could have larger and separate recyclable receptacles. Every time I would throw my bottles or cans away, which was quite often, the small cans by the bathroom were always full and mixed with trash. They could make a decent buck with a separate can for each, e.g. bottles, cans, and plastic, as long as everyone filled them up correctly.

thanks greg and john. folks post up your suggestions. we can do the ff. 1. pack it in - pack it out 2. increase the # of recyclable receptacles and keep them segregated. any volunteer? you get to keep them too. 3. bring your own spoon, fork, knives and cups. 4. i will distribute thrash bags, as many as you want, double it up so it wont leak or smell, and safe take home. 5. i throw my paper plate into the campfire, it's up to the rest. |

Sorry to say, but some outside factors have taken me and Lasherman OUT of play for the n00bs.

It looks like I wasn't paying attention.
Put me on the stand-by list if you would Joel. I'd be trucking in this year, Thursday thru Sunday, and would be partaking of all meals. Dave

No problem sharing - I posted a "no problem" a couple pages ago, but it's pretty easy to miss posts right now with all the new ones coming up. I also can't believe the organizer (Joey?) is keeping up with all of the lists, lodging etc. Craziness! Sharing is caring! ![]() ![]()

I'm #188, thanks Joel!
We'll be announcing some of the class give-aways as we get closer. Some of your fellow Noobs have signed up for some of our spring classes, so they won't be so Nooby after I get done with them. JIMMY |

Jimmy Lewis Off-road riding school - March 23/24
I attended one of Jimmy's course samplers this summer at the KTM rally in Bend. Even thought I've been riding for 35 years; motocross, street, long distance touring, etc, I was amazed at what I could still learn. Or, what was easer after just a pointer or two from Jimmy. Anyway, after that short introduction, I decided to attend one of his 2 day riding classes. Turns out he has a class scheduled for the 23rd & 24th of March, which is just perfect timing as I can attend his class and then I'll have a week to practice in Death Valley
The course still has openings and if a few more big bikes/ADV types sign up, I'm on a KTM 990, the training will be slanted towards those riding styles (Jimmy, hope I stated that correctly.) So, here's your chance to learn off-road skills from one of the best and then have a whole week to practice! How can you say no to that! More class info here: http://jimmylewisoffroad.com/class-structure/ Who's IN? 1) Moto-Treks - KTM 990 2) McKay - Husky 449 3) 4) I'm in no way connected to the Jimmy Lewis Off-road riding school. I just want to take the class with other like minded riders. moto-treks screwed with this post 12-04-2012 at 08:13 AM |
