Thanks the knee surgery is going to be schedules towards the end of feb and anywhere from 6 weeks to 6 months recovery depending on which way they have to go to fix stuff once they are in there.

hang in there dave. i have a torn acl on the right knee but chose no surgery. i just deal with the pain like a real man....

I'm planning on arriving at PSR late Thursday morning, and will probably go on a ride in the afternoon. Won't be scheduling a formal ride (too unsure of timing), but I imagine there will be others that will be around and we'll just form an ad-hoc ride.

I've had 5 knee surgeries. 4 scopes and 1 total replacement. The right knee replacement was a resounding success, took just under 6 months for total recovery and I was up, active and using it when I left the hospital. It probably took 3 months before I was turned loose by the doctor and started working to rebuild the strength. My only complaint was that I should have had the replacement much sooner.

The scope routines took considerably less time.

Osborne cabin is a nice afternoon ride. I'm just a little leery about my noob buddy being able to make up the boulder wash. Guess we could give it a shot.
Just one idea...
Darwin is also a fun and short trip.

Darwin is also a fun and short trip.

I rode that boulder wash twice every day during last years event. I got pretty tired of it, but for your noob buddy I would suggest the easy way around. 190 to PV Road to MM Road to O.C. That will avoid the wash, but there will still be plenty of rocks. I'll be around, maybe meet up with you guys.

PS: Thanks Chris for modifying the CG ride, I'm going to see if I can arrange something extra at CG.

I would be up for that as well.. The last time we all went up to Osborne was a good time... Briggs is always a crowd pleaser...

Hunter Mtn & Lippincott for Friday. We did this same loop last year and it was a lot of fun. I put it as intermediate, but only because of the distance and the technical aspects of Lippincott and the rock washes at the bottom. Anyone who is up for it is welcome to join.
