I-Spy: Ural on 85th and 24th, Ballard/Crown Hill, Tuesday at 5:45PM?

So last night I hopped on my rig (DL1000/DMC-Ural) and headed over towards the 74th St. Ale House to meet some friends for dinner. The weather here in Seattle has been complete crap the last few days, but I figured the gods would be friendly to a short sidecar ride. I jumped on the rig and headed east on 85th, and just before I reached 24th, by the church, I spotted oncoming (what I think was) a Ural Gear-Up in green camo. I could be mistaken, but it was definitely a rig!

So is there a Uralista in my neck of the woods (Seattle - Crown Hill / Sunset Hill / North Ballard?)

Yep, when I was visiting my son and daughter-in-law a few months back I passed one parked in that neighborhood as well. Greg says he doesn't know the rider but if he says he he'll give a "hi and connect with ADV".

Nice. I love my rig but someday I want to have a Ural to park next to her.

Was just woundering how you an your rig are doind. Did it "buff out" ok?

Barry,

After the ride I rode it home and parked it for a couple of days. Hoped back on it and it seems to run just fine. I still need to replace the turn signal and straighten out the saddle bag/rag situation, but there is so much storage space in the chair and the trunk that I haven't felt the need to do so yet!

My girlfriend is still willing to ride in it and I feel very grateful for that! Otherwise, just enjoying this lovely NW weather and trying to ride it as much as possible to improve my skills.

So, in typical ADV fashion, I survived the crash just fine, but I think I may have tweaked my shoulder when I went to pick up my Jesse bag at the bottom of the embankment! Typical. That issue seems to have worked itself out at this point, so we are all systems go!
