and if you are still in a bind, holler up..we'll see what we can do to either get you back on the road or send someone down to kidnap you and sell you as a sex slave in Phoenix!

And on the day my parts are due to arrive, it's fucking raining. Lovely.

I'm hearing Casey Kasem in my head right now....

"And the hits just keep coming..."

So I'm hanging outside, checking out the bike and chatting about the breakdown with one of the other motel guests, a itinerant refinery worker, and he hands me 3 quarts of Rotella and a 1 1/4 socket. The generosity of strangers continues to amaze me.

On to the oil change. The pics are ugly. I'll post em up in a bit.

As for re-tear-down, I don't know. Another $300 gasket kit? Out of my rapidly shrinking stash? Another week or more? Fuck.

I'm just going to change the oil a few times and hope like hell it gets me back to CA. What else can I do? When I left, I knew in the back of my head it could be the swan song for this bike.

I have all of the bolt, and the spring. What you're seeing is the inside of my clutch cover, so it's mostly soft aluminum. I'll post pics of that later (it's still on the bike)

Within sight of this wonderful establishment are three casinos, A McDs, a Popeyes and a Waffle House. Oh yeah- and an Adult Video purveyor.

The pinnacle of culture, I tell ya.
