Hi all, I've only been adv riding just over a year but really enjoying seeing some new sights courtesy of the big DL. I've created this garmin file if anyone is interested and it's got most of my "dirty" rides on it.

Most the rides are all good gravel with just a couple with more demanding sections. Obviously a fair bit of tar in between some of the gravel stuff.

I'll try to keep updating it and I blog all my rides (linky in sig) but feel free to hit me up if you've got any questions - I'll do my best to not put you crook...

Me Too!!!

Hi there ADV bro.
Just signed up, so am a ADV forum virgin.
Could not make out the photo location, where was it?
Still riding solo on the occasional ride. Great that spring is now here so hopefully will be able to get back out on the bike a bit more, that is if these gale winds abate.
I am based in Lower Hutt, and when finished I will be on what I will loosely call my Ducati Monstrada.
Cheers.

Pori Road/Puketoi Road: http://goo.gl/maps/UsSh5. Puketoi road possibly a bit much for the Multi-Strada - maybe in summer...Pori Road is sweet as any weather.

Yeah, not a hooning road at all. I've ridden it three times and only seen other vehicles twice...While we were parked there some tourists in their van turned up - they were pretty seriously lost...

Cheers for that. I like reading the write-ups of the DB1K and like the idea of the ride...I'm into road-based endurance rides (Grand Challenge etc) but not sure that I could manage those sorts of distances on gravel or gravel in the dark.
