Only just discovered this one- yet more competition (other than the newish BMW pair) for Suzuki's bigger Burgman?

That appears to be a featherweight compared to the big Burgie and new BMW by approx 100# lighter in weight per those specs.

Looks nice. I had a SYM HD200 which was a very good scooter.

There is a 400 Sym on the road, and the "looks" are very much in the Burgy mold.

I did read somewhere that Sym had some tie-in with Honda so there is the possibility that, like Honda, they are prepared to use a common platform for both 400cc and 600cc engine sizes.

That'd be a first in this class to my knowledge.

Big vibes.. low power (compared to a twin).. it will be interesting to
see how smooth this engine can be. Most scooter buyers in this class
want "smooth".

I'm more interested in the Kymco MyRoad 700i, but this Sym will probably
be cheaper.

As of this date it would seem that the sole appearance of the Maysym 600i ABS model has been at a show; 2011 EICMA.

Sym Maxsym 600i is basically a bigger version of the 400i, with bigger engine and standard ABS. Aesthetically it is just like the its little sister, and maintains all of the key features of the model: comfortable riding position (thanks to the huge saddle), huge loading capacity, sharp dual projection headlights, telescopic fork, great aerodynamic protection (thanks to the big windscreen) and 15″ front 14″ rear wheels fitted with 120/70 and 160/60 tyres respectively.

I pull a piggybacker behind my RT thats why I ask. As I age and weigh my options with a maxi, I wondered about a scoot pulling a trailer.

The big 500cc Kymco is a single. Does not interest me. I would rather have a twin.

I know.
The 700 isn't.

And the Sym obviously is (single), and that's what I meant by "that's a first".
I'm not aware of any other 600cc single cylinder scooter out there.

An American equivalent of the Easy Trailer 830TA, is the 870 Lb. Capacity Utility Trailer, 40" X 49" from Harbor Freight. The US trailer usually rides on 8" wheels while Carlex picked the 12" size to suit Australian road conditions. Longchih builds them but some thirty years ago they were built in the US and sold by Northern Tools.

Many cut-down these trailers (I did) and extend the drawbar (tongue) to make it an easier and safer tow with a motorcycle. Home-built motorcycle trailer.

The Tagalong is indeed one often mentioned on the Delphi Forum for motorcycle-towed trailers. Seems that there are somethings like coupons, and special deals, available from Harbor Freight?

The single wheel trailer variety (and again Delphi Forum has an occasional mention of a self-build single design running a torsion spring first built by a chap called: Scuba Dave.

I carry items like Air Compressors, the Kayak, and maybe (to come) a 36v Lithium Mower, so my trailer has now become of the Box Trailer shape employing a modern wood-recycled & plastic material like that referenced here:

Looked more like the Aprilia is aimed at the sport market vs. the commute/tour market which the Burgman is.
I'd love to see the MaxSym (either) since they do appear to be pointed at the Burgmans pretty solidly. If they show up in North America, I'll definitely take a look.
