Smaller displacement motorcycles at scooter rallies?

I'm a "returning rider" and recently purchased a Suzuki TU250.

The listing for the "Smoky Mountain Crawl" in the Scooter Rallies thread was of interest to me but I already have a non-motorcycle commitment for that weekend and, to be honest, with a round trip of about 1200 miles I think that a bit optimistic for a first timer.

I doubt there are many rallies intended mainly for smaller displacement motorcycles but was wondering if such bikes are generally welcome at scooter rallies (unless that rally is for a specific brand)?

Suggestions would be welcomed.

In my experience, the scooterist have been welcoming. We all go slow and have fun.

I spent part of my time at Amerivespa in San Antonio riding my GTS with another scooterist and his cousin. The cousin was riding a lovely vintage Triumph, gorgeous well maintained bike.

Generally speaking scooters would prefer people to ride a scooter to their rallys but understand that isn't always possible so ride what you have. As long as you don't show up and start telling people how superior motorcycles are or asking when someone's going to get a "real" motorcycle then you'd be welcome.

That. And if you have a sense of humor, all the better. (You'll hear at least a few smart-ass remarks, if the people are like most scooter riders I've met.)
