Tim Robel #222 Camping in 101 Poison Spyder in Hammertown. Feel free to stop by and say hi! So looking forward to another year of this. I've trained all year long and look forward to the ride! Last year I made it to Rm 35 and tapped out, I'm ok with that because it gave me a reason to train and expand my skills. I lived this year with passion and enjoyed all of it! I hope to finish but if not, I will come out of this a much better rider and will continue to evolve as an Extreme terrain specialist! I will keep smiling and see you on the lakebed!

Spectating
Hey guys, I am pretty sure I will be coming down to spectate. Look for a well used DR with an inverted milk crate rack and unique passenger pegs.
Might camp near the ADV tent Jimmy Lewis mentioned. Joe

Tim is the spirit of this whole race and I admire the dedication it takes to give this race a shot. As much as I like to see the pros, I'm loving the attitude and the hopes that rider like Tim bring.
And the ADV Bivouac will be near gate #1 on the southeast side of Hammertown. We will clear out out tech inspection tent for camping riders. Remember it costs $20 to get in to Hammertown and here is a link with a lot of useful information. http://ultra4racing.com/category/spectator/ Where does my spectator fee go? $60000 blm permit (based upon estimated number of spectators) $25000 port a potties $18000 medical personnel (based on number of spectators) $17000 jumbotron for spectators who dont have vehicles to go to canyons $17000 security $8000 dust control caused by number of vehicles in Johnson Valley $7000 fencing for spectator safety 10% of spectator sales go towards keeping Johnson Valley open |

Thank you Jimmy for putting out all this information.
You and UltraRacing did a great job last year and I am sure it is only going to be better this year. Just disappointed I will not be able to be out there for the KOM. |

Kudos to you Mr Lewis, very cool to have a hard enduro of this caliber in North America
A bit too far of a drive for me to come watch but maybe in the coming years. Cheers

Was just out there yesterday participating in the Desert MC NHHA race. Fencing is up, a few big tents are up - can't wait to get out there Sunday and find a good spot to spectate. Will we be able to get a heads up on good places to view?

^^this and...
Has anyone set up a formal meet up? I'm coming from across the country and would like to meet some of you west coast fools. Also, does anyone know if they will have bike for rent out there? Looking for something to rent to get around to spectate. I could even do a utv as I will be toting a bit of camera gear. Oh yeah - thanks to J Lewis for setting up what looks to be a damn good time! |

There will be 15 of us in our group from New England (most on quads, wife and I on a pair of Huskys). 3 of us are driving a 28' trailer out, while the rest are flying, picking up 2 large RV's, and meeting us on the lake bed.
We'll be there for the KoM, as well as KoH (cheering our buddy Lucas Murphy on, #816) We'll be sure to look for you FF's. and feel free to stop in and say hi if you see us (silver enclosed 28'/gold-ish Dodge Ram/VT plates/2 campers/12 quads/4 bikes/15 drunks

Jimmy, I see from the video that you'll be streaming to the jumbotron, will there be any web streaming going on? Live timing or anything like that?
