Handguards are GS. I used some garden hose washers and large stainless washers to make them fit, using the original bar end screws.

I will keep an eye out for a used '11 or '12 with the cam head motor down the road. I did a lot of work to a Tiger 1050 to make it fit me that will be hard to replace.

Pick this up next week...I was going for the 2013 90th anaversary when unbelivably I found this leftover brand new 2011 fully loaded and saved a ton of money...
This is my second R. Sold my 07 4 yrs ago (regretfully) replacing it with an SV1000s and than adding a Vstrom1000 last year. Vstrom's going by by but the SV is staying for now...

It's pretty tricked out and In process of being converted to a street fighter.

Is the Triphy worth the money? I'm Sitting on the fence right now. I want the fairing but $800...Yeyks!!
Tried to get it directly from Germany but they rederected me to Wunderlich America. Would heve been couple hundred cheaper.

I got this for the above SV but havent tried it yet. If it works half decent than I'll try it on the R too before I spring for the Trophy.

Worth the money....... That is judged only by the spender!

I've got one and often think of removing it because it provides so very little in the way of wind protection. Then I step back, take a look at the bike and change my mind because it looks soooooooo good to me.

I vote YES on looks and NO on wind protection. What is it you want from the Trophy screen?

Anybody use a parabellum scout? I have their touring shield and want more protection. Last bike was an RT.

I'm looking at a friends 2004 1150r. But after looking at this thread I'm now looking a the new 1200r.

I want it for both and yes looks being 1st. My idea of wind protection is somthing that just takes enough strain of my chest without too much wind noise and turbulance more so. I was thinking that the bullet shape of trophy might just provide that. If it provides a little more protection with smother less turbulent air than the BMW sport screen than It might work for me.
