Long term impressions on Globescout panniers?

Mine are expected to arrive tomorrow

Most folks seem happy with their's,but those are mostly just initial impressions.

How have your panniers done over the past year or so and miles?

I've had mine since last summer. I've only done 4 trips with them but they are great. Top quality. Probably better than I really need.

Trying to decide between waiting until mid summer for Globescouts or buy some OEM used cases......Are they worth it?

I have the globescout panniers on my Super Tenere and love them, I'm on my second year, 7000 miles with them on the bike. Solid, well built, great latches, no leakage at all. I bought the bare aluminum and they're holding up nicely. The only downside was waiting for them.it took about 3 months from the time I ordered them, but maybe it's faster now. Paul from ADVDepot was great to deal with also. Once he got his hands on them, he drilled them and rushed them to me so I had them for my trip. I wouldn't hesitate to buy them again.

Thanks for the review.

Got the panniers today, they look good.Got the clear anodized version.

I bought them when they had a holiday discount in Dec.,so between that and the recent price increase and the redesign,I got a pretty good deal.

Unfortunately that put me between orders,so it has been almost 5 months, which is not ADV Depot fault. They sent them 3 day shipping when they got them.

I'm coming from Micatechs on my 05 GS,so this will be a change.
Will see if I can get used to a top loader.

I've got some black ones coming that are supposed to arrive tomorrow. I ordered mine in December. Just hoping they're worth the wait.

I think you will be pleased.Did you get the holiday discount deal?

Construction and fit/finish seem very good.
Fit on the GSA stock racks seems pleasantly snug.
I have had non coated bags in the past, glad I bought the anodized versions.

Well, while I can't speak for long term....I did happen to notice after I installed them for the first time, that there is a crack in one of my end pieces. Look at the top picture above, you can see it quite clearly on the bottom center. Hopefully, they'll send me a new end cap.

Hi Grabagrip,

We'll certainly be sure to replace the corner protector for you. PM me or contact us directly, and we'll take care of you.

Thanks,
-
