Tried to do too much maint. on the Strom...now I gotta go pick up some parts.

Hopefully I can get the steering head bearings changed out in time tomorrow to still make it up to the RA.

How many miles you got on that Strom now? Im greatly considering buying one, think its about time I get me a proper adventure bike.

Yep...if aint broke don't fix it. The problem here is that I decided to look at it with the lights on and saw that it's been broke quite awhile.

It's one of those Fortunately, Unfortunately stories.

Fortunately you can upgrade to tapered bearings.
Unfortunately I couldn't find any in stock locally.
Fortunately a local stealership had some on the shelf.
Unfortunately they cost twice as much as the better bearings.
Fortunately I should have all the parts to fix it and still make it to the RA.
Unfortunately that means I get to burn the midnight oil wrenching and cussing.
Fortunately I have tomorrow morning to finish it up if I hit too many snags because.....
Unfortunately I don't get home from work until midnight.
