MC Lift Plans - Two Sheets of Plywood

I KNEW this would turn up sooner or later...

Here is the ZIP of everything in this post on how to build a motorcycle-lift workbench out of two sheets of plywood.

Dude, I didn't know you were looking for it. I've had it saved on my computer since you first linked it way back when we first joined the Professor.

Funny how the original site turned into an online sex toy company!

About a month ago somebody posted in Jo Momma asking for plans. I knew I had it. I searched my archives but didn't find it. Yesterday I was looking for something else and stumbled across it on the (Linux equivalent of) my c:\data\ drive. I figgered if I posted it here, maybe someone would use it. It sure is a GREAT design. Personally, I quite like my Harbor Freight lift.

Not in my garage. IIRC, this was a Wetleather project and a couple or three guys built one for each of them at the same time. I liked the design. But before I got around to building it, HFS started selling theirs for what I felt was a reasonable price.

Still, someone with a couple of sheets of plywood laying around, a box of screws and some glue, could build one for just the time it takes.

How does it lift? I see no jack or similar. In fact, it isn't very clear at all.

The lift is accomplished using a simple machine called an "inclined plane." You push the bike up a ramp and then it is on the raised workbench.

It is a workbench with a ramp. When you push the bike up the ramp, the bike is LIFTED up off the ground to make it more comfortable and easier on which to work upon it. The project is not just a ramp. The project is a narrow work bench with fold-out areas to facilitate working on the bike while it is LIFTED up off the ground.

To me the pictures pretty much explain it. Maybe it is a left-brain / right-brain thing?

But yeah...
