If you need, I can try and grab some from the wreckers when I make my runs. Sillycone valley has a big share of these in the PickNPulls!

Woo hoo! I'm now officially signed up with NORRA as crew/co-driver! I'm totally stoked to head south and help out Team Outta Sight in anyway I can.

Cabo or Bust!!!

How the hell did that just happen??

Just kidding.

Welcome aboard Cory!!

And it's probably more accurate to call it the Outta Sight/LC Garage racing team..since you will undoubtedly be enlisted to do double duty for me and Luke!!

The rumor on the streets is that Paul Jr. will be making an appearance on Luke's entourage as well

Quick update:

Cory came down to lend a hand and Ray got the passenger seat bolted in

Cory and I got the spare tire strap figured and in and did some serious planning for upcoming work days. The car was supposed to be at David's being worked on, but he was overextended with actual paying customers so we had to take a raincheck until next week

When Ray got done, Cory and I put the harnesses in and went for a little cruise up on some forest roads....hopefully he'll post up something.

Then I took Laura for a ride. My wife has a tendency to get car sick, so she has been wanting to try out a scopolamine patch and finally she got her chance since her seat was bolted in! So with "Mama's little helper" on board we were off to the gravel!

I also got off my ass...found the go-pro and charged it and decided to make sure it still works. So, the result of all of this malarky is a short video of me trying to scare Laura and her trying to act cool as a cucumber and not get sick...which was a challenge because she had gone out last night with friends from work... Gotta work on the camera settings but when the lighting is good, looks ok.

We had a fun time hanging out and driving around the road to the dump

I think we are going to have a good time in Baja racing together!

Enjoy:

That's pretty much standard training for the car teams, right?

Looks like you need to add a couple of OSH's

And maybe a bungie B-Bag holder

My .02,

1st, she has a death grip on the door handle.....is that because she might have to exit fast

2nd, she needs a grab rail for her side.....someplace to put her hands, besides on the door handle.

Carry on, can't wait to see you out there racing......

The Mexican "Stones"

Loved the video, but that music is off the charts! Muy bueno!

Awesome! That video made my morning; perfect music and camera angles.

As Paul said, we had a great time down on the coast this weekend! On my way down (and through the perils of Portland, the foreboding perils I say! ), I stopped by Luke's and handed off the seat for the CBRZ-650 Desert Sled, so no more factory KTM seat... Here's another photo of the spare-tire setup in progress; when all was said and done, with four over-sized braced eye-bolts with two ratchet-straps employed, those tires shouldn't be going anywhere...

We did some purposeful bench racing on where to mount certain items, what to bring and what to leave behind... With the passenger seat mounted up, the harnesses wrapped and clipped and everything buttoned up, we went for a ride (excuse the crappy 5-year old point and shoot video and sub par vibration-resistant camera mount, click on the photo below):

It was awesome to finally take a ride in the Sube and I was very impressed by how she rode in different situations; very smooth and grippy. It seems like whatever Paul did, the Subie responded in a positive way; the Subaru AWD system is amazing! Even pulling some down and dirty dounuts (which I unfortunately missed recording) it was hard to get the Sube to loose traction...

All in all, an awesome weekend! 54 days to go...

She looks awfully tense, in that video. I hope she can relax, by race time.

Awesome vid! Needs the more engine noise in the mix, but love the music! How about some chase truck video!
