XT660Z for a Canadian?

Have been a lurker for a while now, looking for the next direction to take on the next bike. I have somehow gotten it in my head that I want a XTZ660 Tenere. I checks a lot of boxes and I think it would fit nicely in my garage.

I have this picture as my desktop now.

The trouble is, I'm in Canada. My local Yamaha dealer has never heard of the 660. Do I give up now? Or is there someone with some export experience that might be able to help?

Good luck on that! Dont know how strict the import rules are in Canada, but after what Ive read in the XT660Z Tenere thread the USA will probably never see a Tenere on their roads. Only maybe the ones rode by European(or Mexican....) tourists/travellers....
You'll turn it in an offroad bike, so why keep the passenger pegs?
