There is a border crossing to the south east of Tenosique, if you want to continue across Guatemala and not retrace your route thru Belize. See the green line on your map.

Hay un cruciendo de la frontera al sur-este de Tenosique, si quieres continuar a traves Guatemala, y no repetir su ruta al Belice. Mira la linea verde en su mapa. Perdoneme mi espanol.

Te escribo en español para evitar confusiones y una disculpa a los advriders por escribir solo español en una pagina diseñada por americanos.

El mapa de arriba es el mapa de nuestra ruta original, como observas queremos ir a Cancun y bajar parte de la costa hasta llegar a Chetumal y de ahí cruzar Belice para llegar a Guate, de antemano sabíamos que en Belice no hay mucho que ver pero ya estando en ruta... nos quedaban dos opciones o darle por el lado mexicano hasta Chiapas y entrar por las ciudades conocidas a Guate o seguir bajando hasta Belice y cruzarlo y optamos por cruzar Belice en ese mapa.
Ahora viendo las opciones que nos presentan tu y los advriders aquí pues ya estamos viendo en modificar la ruta.
Ejemplo, no sabíamos de la ruta que puso Andy T por que no la veíamos en los mapas.

Connect with Jorge at Las Torres Hotel in Guatemala. I know it is not a Harley dealership, but he has a shop there where he works on Harleys. Good guy, you can even stay in his hotel as your bike is worked on.

I'm currently in Antigua and plan on renting a small bike here to explore a little bit. Any suggestions about interesting and scenic routes would be greatly appreciated and also if you have any advices.

Atli - talk to the guys at MotoTours on 6a Calle. Either Jose or Frenchy can help you with plenty of routes and local advice. The good news is that there is sooooo much good riding, you wont run out! Enjoy it.
