My Goldwing (GL1800) is by far the most comfortable bike I've ever ridden. Since I got the bar risers, backrest and highway pegs on it, It fits like a glove and feels like it was custom made just for me.

2nd place would be my former R1150GS. Great ergos and comfort with an aftermarket seat. Stock seat - mmmm, not so much.

Least comfortable would be my former Sportster 1200 Roadster. Beautiful bike, but a torture rack to ride. Whoever posted earlier about spending 17 hours in the saddle of a Sportster is a lot more man than I am.

This, my 2000 Kawasaki Concours. Stock seat, Rifle 15" shield. Genmar bar risers. Great on the highway, hilarious good fun in the twisties, and I've gotten 49mpg to boot. She'll haul everything I need for 2 weeks on the road, and has been for the most part, incredibly reliable.

I've done so many long days on it, I've lost count. Longest ever was just about 1100 miles in less than 24 hours going from NJ to KY.

Here it is in Oklahoma:

+1 on the Connie! I had a Y2K just like yours for 50,000 mi. & loved everything about it but the weight. I'm 5' 8" & 145 lbs. & found the stock seat & shield perfect ( I think I'm the only Connie rider who never changed out one or the other) In 11 years & 50,000 mi I bought 2 batteries, 4 sets of tires, & lots of oil & filters...that's it. Seeing your pics brought back lots of good memories.

Vote for the Road King. Have done several 1000 mile days on it, not back to back. Have done a 12,000 mile 18 day 4 Corners Tour on it, In all of those cases I never once got sore or uncomfortable on that motorcycle. That Harley motor is so relaxed on the highway, the miles just melt away. Can't say the same for all the other bikes I've had, where I'd struggle to do a 500 mile day without crying.

Have used both the Police spring seat, and a Russell DayLong saddle, and both are good.

This, Road King Police with a Mustang replacement seat, I kept the suspension under the seat. Obviously I don't need or want a 26" seat height, my wife on the other hand...

My ''11 FJR. CalSci Large screen, Rick Meyer saddle. Glass smooth, ferocious acceleration when called for, rock steady highway manners, ridiculous dependability with minimal maintenance. Compared to any of my previous bikes since 1960, (American, British, & Italian) this baby is the Starship Enterprise.

2010 BMW R1200GSA , super comfy to go anywhere you can keep it upright (eisen schwein) especially comfy 2up.
Absolute best allround bike I ever had was the first BMW R80GS with flat drag bars with 3" extensions. I really miss that one, it wasn't any good 2up but great solo.

Heritage Softail I rented on Maui. Problem was, the ergonomic triangle it put me in was perfect for sleeping.

R1100RT. The most comfortable bike I've ever ridden. 600+ mile days are no problem with a Russell day long saddle.

I can't really give a terribly surprising answer - GL1500. It's a sofa on wheels. I've tried the 1800 and it's a great tourer but a bit cramped compared to the 1500.
