The oilibya rally of tunisia 2013
I'm seriously considering doing this Rally next year.
It's on from the 19th to 25th May 2013. http://mim.io/3c8372 I will be hoping to rent a bike as I'm coming from Australia. Has anyone done this race and could offer any advice or teams to rent from. Any help or advice would be appreciated. ![]() ![]() |

Sardegna which is on the cross country WRC Calendar starts on the 31st of May next year, so it could be a little congested that week?

Ben the Beta guys offer the best value / quality for the $$ of the euro rally rental teams, but usually they do Sardinia so not sure how the aparent clash will work out

Would highly recommend the Merzouga rally to fill that gap...................plus the Beta guys go there with rental bikes, Glen Grundy and Brett Cummings used them this year there.

The Tunisie is very different to Sardinia terrain-wise, although both events could be run on an Enduro derived bike with just a bigger tank and the necessary nav. gear - the Tunisie also has an Enduro Cup class where you don't need to comply with all the FIM regs.
I know Desert Rose Racing in the UK have offered assistance and bike rental packages for the OiLybia Du Tunisie in the past - you could drop them a line and ask them for a fly-ride price - that is what Cummo did in 2010 when I was there... 1st bivouac ![]() The fastest bike, is a hired bike... ![]() Jx |

Hi Nagykovi - I'm not sure the make of it, it was a bike built up by Desert Rose Racing (Patsy Quick) in 2010 - so you could drop them an email and ask the supplier?
Alternatively, the Rally Moto kit that Ned used in Dakar this year is available commercially though Rally Management Services (Rally Pan-Am) - this is visually similar and fits on top of a Acerbis (I believe) larger tank... Also, if you contact Dave (GSNorCal on here) who runs RMS, he as a slim rally top-faring on his bike, again visually similar... Sorry I can't offer a definitive answer. Jx |

Are ther any companies that go to Sardinia, Morzouga etc rallies
That have a programme for someone to buy a bike( set up for rally) in Europe, that the team keeps it and takes it to all the races. Then at the end of the year either sell the bike or ship it back home. Hell even prep the bike for Dakar while it is there. ![]()
