My F800GS almost ready, PICS!
Hi fellow riders. Did not see an intro thread so I thought I would start here. I have been following this forum since September of 2008, which is when I got my first adventure bike the F800Gs. I put a deposit down on it 6 months in advance and received it in September 08. Although I have had it for over 6 months now I did not want to post pics until I received and installed all my mods, I am still waiting on a few but for now this is my baby:
My 2009 F800GS ![]() Wide Screen from BMW ![]() ![]() Cortech Stap on tank bag: (Not very big put fits the style of the bike) ![]() Wunderlich Cruise Control With Stock HandGuards (Works Great)![]() ![]() Touratech Left and Right Swingarm Covers (These just clip on) ![]() Touratech Guard for brake fluid container ![]() ![]() Thats it for now. I have a temporary top case but I did not like it so I am going to order the Trax top case and side bags. I think the black ones go nicely with the bike. Does anyone have the Trax top case on their yellow f800GS? Still want to get the engine guards (can't decide which ones yet) and the bash plate. I have only seen aluminum bash plates, has anyone seen any black ones? Oh and I got a airhawk seat cushion as well, just did not upload a pic of that. Doing a trip in June from Texas - Panama and want her to be ready for anything P.S. If anyone can recommend a good GPS for the 800 I would love to hear your suggestions. I am looking for one that mounts in the middle and not on the sides of the handle bars. |

That bike needs some offroad damage in the worst way.

Here's a link to some month-old shots of my bike with the Adventure Spec bars, bash guard and luggage carrier, plus Jesse's: http://www.starling.com/moto/index.htm Since then I've added Pivot Pegs, handguards, tank bag, side stand plate, Hyper-Lites for brakes and head lamp guard but don't have new photos of it all yet. I think I'm heading over to Death Valley this weekend to dust mine up a bit... it's time... plus we're already in the mid 80's here in Las Vegas so in the next few weeks DV will be cookin'. Have fun! That's the Adventure Spec Bash Guard; very very stout, well designed and well finished. Even all the BMW dealer guys, mechanics and "bigboy 1200 riders" drool on the Adv-Spec stuff. I got the crash guards/bars, bash guard and luggage rack for about $500 +/- USD total and that included two day DHL shipping from the UK. Ordered on Monday, installed on my bike by Thursday.
