The go pro makes things look a lot farther away than they really are.
The EXACT reason I strongly emphasize a minimum 3 second gap when I lead rides, whether it be at an ADV event or just a weekend ride. If the camera bike had been at least that far bike it would have been a non event for him/her.

If I notice folks following too close I have a talk with them. I've been run over by a following rider when I low sided, so I would rather hurt feelings than see a non-event low side turn into something much worse.

Come on now! You know riding in SAMCRO formation is what all the cool kids are doing.

Fixed!
You could increase your Harley sales if you paid attention. Order some of those hoodies and see how fast they fly off the hangers!

Yup. A couple of times before the crash, I was thinking the camera bike needed to back off. No need to follow so close if you aren't planning a pass.

If it were me, I would have crashed because I was staring at those beautiful gauges (on the red bike)!

OMG... bunch of non-riding chuckleheads.

That is all.

Definitely didn't leave enough space, particularly for the pace and kind of road they were on. Could have been easily avoided.

Disagree; Crash #1 was going top happen no matter what the rider did.
That wasn't a curve in the road, that was a 90' corner (note the sign)..... and at that speed, on that bike, VR himself couldn't have pulled that one out.

Cause of crash #1 - Too fast for road conditions (rider inexperience).
